My beloved and I joined the Black Expats in Panama tour for the one-day Cultural Caribbean Day in Colon. I didn't know what to expect, but my friend, who recommended it, assured me it would be wonderful, and it was. It was one of the most enjoyable tours I have been on. Charlotte, her husband, and her team were excellent. The driver was one with the road, which allowed me to relax fully. The guide was a wellspring of historical information that told the story of Colon, Portobello, and Panama so interestingly that I hung on every word.

The BEIP #41 Relocation tour exceeded my expectations three-fold! We just returned from another BEIP experience, Sisters In Panama 2025. Traveling with 23+ women of color from all over the country, including Panama, was an amazing experience. From planned photo shoots, dinners, game day, and a tour focused on understanding the culture in Belize, everything was great. On the "Night of the Nubian Queen" we all dressed in tradition African attire; the colors our clothing and the brightness of our smiles reflected our pride in ourselves and each other; everyone that passed us stopped and stared at the magnificence of it all.

The BEIP Cultural Relocation Tour is well worth it for anyone considering a move to Panama. So much practical information provided, as well as history and culture overview, visits to multiple neighborhoods and opportunities to talk to expats and professionals who can help facilitate the transition. It’s not a vacation, but it was so fun including a relaxing beach day and a Canal visit. From start to finish, the attention to detail is commendable. Charlotte and her team took excellent care of us, always attentive, warm and welcoming.
